My mate Jonny is a looker

His habit is a one night stand

He used to walk the streets in the usual way

Oh what a pretty man

My mate Jonny is a lover

Fell for the girl next door

She said « Jonny I can’t be with you,you’re pretty but you’re also a bore »

Finding love is not so easy

Cos people thought that he was too peculiar

So what was left for poor old Jonny

At least he found out that Jesus loves ya

And he’s a priest now twenty four

Cos he’s Holy

What he wanted the most

Now he’s left with Holy Ghost

I prayed for Jonny, but now Jonny prays for me x2

My mate Jonny is a preacher

As Holy as they come

He says »Follow the Lord and the Lord’ll be good »

And he even started calling me son

But God was good for poor old Jonny

He lived his life behind walls of religion

But what was left was not so funny

Cos I lost my friend to this new found position
